  • Industrial Hygiene Technician

  • What You'll Do

    As an Industrial Hygiene Technician, you understand the true meaning of hard work. You are smart, strong, and willing to get dirty. You have responsibilities both out in the field monitoring activities, gathering and analyzing air samples, collecting asbestos bulk samples, preparing field reports and directing subcontractors as well as in the office assisting project managers with report preparation and other tasks as assigned.     You will be part of a dynamic, growing and energized team – and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:


    • Reviewing contractor field submittals and licenses
    • Observing and documenting field activities
    • Assessments on asbestos-containing materials, lead based paint and mold
    • Using field screening equipment and documenting readings
    • Collecting and analyzing air samples during abatement projects
    • Conducting hazardous materials surveys
    • Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians and project managers
    • Writing clear field reports of site activities each day
    • Assisting with report production

    What We're Looking For

    • 6 months – 3 years related experience
    • BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology or a related discipline a definite plus
    • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification would go a long way
    • Some serious GRIT and have no problem lifting/carrying 40 – 100 lbs. multiple times a day
    • Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites – Mileage will be reimbursed
