As a Special Inspector – Structural Steel, you understand the true meaning of hard work. You are smart, strong, and willing to get dirty. Both your internal project managers and external clients are pleased with your evaluations, since inspections are something you take pride in. You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:
Inspecting and testing of structural steel during erection on general commercial building sites, as well as plant inspections
Steel and high strength bolt inspections
Performing steel or concrete plant quality control observations
Communicating daily with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers
Construction materials testing
Performing observations, inspections, and tests of building construction projects
Documenting findings in accordance with accepted engineering practice

High School diploma or GED
5+ years of experience
